Treasured memories and Him
Treasured memories and Him
The sound of the car starting,
The voice of my uncle singing along with the song
Playing in the background and the
Videos playing on the phone
At the highest volume
Seems to be missing.
Without these sounds,
A deafening silence
Surrounds the house.
The constant pestering to
Change into better clothes
On special occasions and festivals,
The sound of the camera shutter
Clicking again and again
To take numerous photos
And make a hundred memories
Which are going to last forever
Have suddenly disappeared
In the cold air of November.
Uploading photos on Facebook
The socialising space
Of all our parents, was one
Of his favourite thing.
No occassion went by
Without him uploading the photos
On the same day.
His habit of asking people
To switch on the flashlight
While clicking his photos
Will always be a funny memory for us!
Be it his eye smile or
His loud sneeze
The little things
Will always be missed.
Little things that he did
Like, calling our names from afar
And taking us for rides
In his car, are nothing but
Memories that will be forever
Treasured in the deepest
Corners of our hearts.
Even though, he is gone
He will forever live
In the thousand of memories
That we made together
God took him too soon
But that can't be changed
At last, all I can say is
That he left an impression
On every one he met
And that will, forever stay.
