Acid Attack

It was nothing

But a normal day

I was walking

Towards the school

Going through the

Path

In between the market

I had this strange feeling

As if someone

Was following me

But I shook it away

And went along.

Just around the corner

As I was turning

Suddenly someone

Threw something

On me

I couldn't

Understand

What it was

Until my face

Started burning

And yes

The liquid

Was acid.

I fell down

With my hands

On my face

I screamed

And

Screamed

Until I couldn't

Anymore.

No one

Helped me

Instead they

Stared

As I lied there

Helplessly.

If I remember

That day

Today

It eventually

Reminds me

Of the horrors

Of the day.
