Treasure

Treasure

In the magical moors

There once roamed a girl, looking for clues

Clues that lead her where the treasure lies

But, filled with certain tests she can't deny

She roamed and roamed, until her legs became sore

But she continued, for she was hungry and only the treasure that

awaits her could fulfill her

Through the long nights, whispers were heard

A pixie warned her, for whoever finds the treasure hardly comes

back alive

But she didn't give in, for she knew there was something

precious inside

The sacred powers that reside

Gave her the most unforgettable plight

To fight a troll as large as a truck

To win a fight without beginner's luck

But she, stiff as a rock, didn't surrender because she knew her

worth

At last she reached the one place she was longing to be

But she was confronted, another test, the mother bird who

guarded the nest

There sat a beauty like no other, her shell was as soft as silk,

but the beast lied within

"what do you seek?" she asked most gently

I seek treasure"

p>

" why do you seek it"

" I seek, for there's no one here to love me.......

If I go back, acquainted with treasure, I will receive all the

love I need"

"liar!" growled the mysterious woman

"i'm not lying!" replied the scared girl

She stopped ,for she knew her heart could bear it no long

"I need love, not from outside but from within,

The mysterious woman couldn't comprehend what she heard

She was a woman, who always loved herself first

"what is it that you say?" asked the woman

"i feel my life is a waste, but treasure will remove the

haste"

The woman opened a great, glistening door

The girl curious to see what it bore,

She saw a mirror, and nothing else,

The woman asked, " what do you see?"

"a picture of myself"

"yes , the treasure is nothing but yourself".

And so she came back, and walking through the moors

The creatures there, bewildered, to see someone come through

A baby phoenix, who witnessed it all

Said, 'she made her aware of love to others"

"and this is a gift to us all"
