Trapped
Trapped

The languid, malevolent snake surrounds its victims
It dresses as a harmless vine
Evades each dictum
Its amusement is to destroy mine
I find myself in an elaborate trap
Entombed within its coils
My way inside is impossible to map
Inevitable is my toil
The snake is tranquil
Waiting patiently for my demise
Bemused as my sanity rots away
I do not have enough strength to rise
I feel quiescent
Fate deems me to be
I have enough strength to smile
but not enough to flee
Black dots danced in my eyes
Deriding me in my pain
Everything I do leads to vice
This is more than I can contain
