To Everything There Is A Season
To Everything There Is A Season
When tears burned my tear duct
Your fury burning deep on my emptied soul
I sat there awaiting the season to change.
The rain to stop
The sun to shine
Yet your venom kept seeping through my bones
I clenched on the holy book
Dried my tears with the holy pages
Yet the skies continued to turn grey
I Sang the verses like a holy hymn
Shout out to the heavens
In the holy name
Yet the heaven's door shut before my eyes.
My bleeding knees felt numb
Kneeling on a hard ground
Praying for you Change
But with each descent
Your hatred for me ascended.
I cried louder.
You pried deeper into my soul.
Convinced myself that the storm will past
But the storm was here to stay.
The holy book felt heavy
Yet missing a few pages
That wiped my teary eyes
My season was permanent.
