To Coldplay
To Coldplay
I painted yellow on me,
And waited for you to fix me,
I didn't know about any lovers in Japan,
I just saw the fall of a man,
Wanting to climb that ladder to the sun!
But you told me to fight,
With that army of one,
And beneath my own skin,
Life became worth living,
I heard those birds singing,
And those shiny Christmas lights not too far away,
I even survived those dark, rainy days!
I cried but held strong,
Because you once told me,
That everything's not lost,
How I saw the world was in my mind,
Not in my heart,
I heard the scientist whispering to me,
Oh, let's go back to the start!
Somehow I waited for a few tricks,
And you showed me your magic,
When everybody said I am fine,
That for me was an extreme warning sign,
You gave me a message from paradise,
We all fall in love sometimes,
It's okay to fall,
It's okay to cry,
Live this adventure of a lifetime,
Coz the hardest part is not what it seems,
Open your heart,
And breathe with that head full of dreams!
