Time with Grandfather

Lonely some are without their grandparents 

They move away to see them more 

They are sullen and sad 

Wanting no more than to go back home 

But they are pleasantly surprised when they enjoy it there more 

It is more enjoyable with a grandparent around 

They will support and make sure you never touch the ground 

They help and have fun with you and they show you around

They tell you their wisdom and their hard times

They say they could not do all but you should

They protect you like a shield make sure your are good and well 

They might be a bit old but they are still fun to have around 

You teach them as well 

They wonder what is technology 

And you show them well 

They praise you for things you take for granted 

They correct and fix 

But it is all well 

You laugh and play

And that makes their day 

They work hard at an old age for no one but you 

They give your favourite things that no one else will dare 

They live in enjoyment if you are there 

They make sure your life is bright 

And they are always there
