The Woods at Night

The Woods at Night

1 min
206

The star-spangled sky

Gazes down on the whispering woods,

With its cascading waterfalls

And bubbling brooks,

The cacophony of crickets

And the croaking frogs,

The forest floor strewn with

Crackling leaves and mossy logs.

Tall trees rustle and swish,

A bat screeches, an owl hoots,

Hunting for prey amidst the grass,

Like scurrying rats and nimble newts.

A fox stealthily prowls the woods,

For rabbits in the underbrush,

The wind heaves a contented sigh,

Soon the woods fall into a tranquil hush.
