Nature's Miracles

Nature's Miracles

It was a grey and gloomy day,

Raining cats and dogs.

No children laughing and playing around,

Just me and the croaking frogs.

The muddy puddles rippled,

When the raindrops fall.

I shivered next to the fire,

Wrapped in woollen shawl.

All of a sudden, against all odds,

The downpour turned to a gentle drizzle.

A ray of sunshine peeked out, cutting through the mist,

And things didn’t seem so dismal.

I close my eyes contentedly,

Taking a breath of fresh air,

When I opened them again,

I couldn’t believe what was there!

A beautiful rainbow arched across,

One of nature’s many marvellous creations.

I gaped at it with wonder and awe,

Forgetting all my frustrations.

Man takes Mother Nature for granted

And doesn’t appreciate her value.

I learnt to be grateful for every small thing,

Mother Nature deserves a thank you.
