The Unpardonable Sin Of A Son
The Unpardonable Sin Of A Son
"Years might have passed...but never my love for you",
She said in as feeble a voice as her body.
But all he did was
To ignore her longing to hear that she was true.
The poor mother had her eyes moist,
they had the potency to cry themselves out,
But all she decided;
Was to let her melancholy not be voiced.
For those nine long months, she had been maimed from inside.
Just to conceive him, she had to cry her heart out.
But all he could bid in return;
Was a poisonous sting to the poor soul from outside.
She said nothing, just went in to get lost in the nostalgic, dusted album,
And he packed her bags to take her to the old age abode,
But all he could be;
Was the cruellest demon to his precious mum.
The son had said nothing by now, till his wife came running out of the room,
told him that the time just stopped for his aged mother,
And all God could see;
Were two bodies, broken to the floor, gushing tears off their eyes and another, lying dead, over the album, waiting to be taken to the tomb.
His wife was not yet broken into tears,
it was he,who was screaming lying on the concrete floor.
The other crying body, out on the road, got to his feet,
And all he could say to himself;
Was Sourabh, walk past this house; the pity world has plenty of such doors.
The poor old lady was left to a corpse and I could feel her tears flooding my eyes,
"O disrespectful son of her, you may bury her body; you may burn her album", said I, walking by, with my eyes numb,
But all you could do;
Was to let her motherly love for you immortalize.
