The Universal Secret

The power of gratitude, when came to known

With content and shame, was I blown

To poverty and misery, so less was I prone

How could I be in such a delusional zone?

It's true to say, problems aren't small

But can our privilege, we never recall?

From going to the beach, to visiting the mall

Despite all this , why do we still appall?

The air we breathe, the water we waste

not realizing that they are desperately being chased

Buying new stuff, when the old gets misplaced

When all they get is the one that's scraped

It ain't enough, to write in textbooks and speeches

When the one's it's meant for, never it reaches

Doesn't the elder, screeches and teaches?

But do you or I, ever move and preaches

Have you ever tried, feeling this way?

If not, do it today

Greed and hate, would start to decay

Neither white nor black, but life would be grey

It'll take you to the road, of goodwill and felicity

Averting the feeling of refusal and toxicity

Put you in a place, nothing but simplicity

Expanding your conscience, with elasticity

The warmth experienced, acatalepsy

To even feel about it, is the god's mercy

Blessed am I to have known this early

Of fallacy and grudge, never will I have to worry

I doubt its secrecy, with the normalcy

Guess I've to find it out through dormancy

What change has brought this significant urgency

Of gratitude and satisfaction with fervency.....

Some fellas think, its an overselling deceit

I hope they understand, such a thought is obsolete

Which immediately from the body, has to excrete,

Else would cynicism and pessimism, they secrete

I hope we realize, how splendid is this feeling

For a philocalist and many, it's immensely appealing

If not the solution, atleast a catalyst for healing,

Let it become a secret, yes indeed revealing!
