The Truth

I'm the truth,

I know, my nature is like that of bittersweet chocolate,

I might be bitter in the beginning but gradually turn sweet by saving you when it's not too late.

I'm shapeless but I do have a sound,

I always stay with you when everyone else turns around.

I'm an inseparable part of one's life.

But the wound caused by me can be so deep that it can pierce a heart more sharply than a knife.

It's difficult to follow the path that leads to me,

So people end up taking the opposite because they wish to flee.

But, it's not that people coming to me have lost their battles.

Winning for them is as simple as jingling a rattle.

The path that leads to me is full of thorns, stones, and difficult times,

While walking, some people even crib about me and others often whine.

If you turn my history's pages,

You'll see that my legacy is carried forward for ages.

Whether it is the destruction of a demonic king,

Or crossing an ocean, with little stones arranged as a string.

Whether its a tussle between brothers,

Or a conflict between 2 mothers,

In every way, I have made the universe learn.

For this opportunity, even the ages together yearn.

Whether its the blooming of a lotus flower in a muddy puddle,

Or reaching a temple despite many hurdles.

I do have a glorious past and a shimmering future,

Whether it's an officer, captain, or a genuine user.

My destiny has seen the darkest of the dark things, beyond one's imagination,

I have experienced scrutinies, massacres, and struggles, even in my hallucination.

Nevertheless, I emerged victoriously,

But, in some places, I was very furious. 

I will continue my duty of righteousness for the time to come,

Only then will some realize, that the prize you get by following me is handsome.
