The Toughest Goodbye

Biding you goodbye was extremely tough,

I never thought with the passage of time our relationship became rough.

The words which used to thrill my heart,

Gradually started to dart.

The warmth of our bond which used to comfort me,

Began to choke me.

Your negligence towards me took my mental peace,

I realized now it was time to cease.

Though my heart craved for one last chance,

My mind advised moving on without any glance.

Memories with you were beautiful,

But now I am not going to fall into that trap like a fool.
