The Taste Of Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy is a feature

Found only in homo sapiens

A highly advanced creature

With a population in billions

They do what they don't preach

They preach what they don't do

This difference in their action and speech

Is what hypocrisy would mean to you

They say that God is omnipresent

Yet they go to a mosque or temple

This worship is a show to all eyes present

In such crowdy places to set an example

They have unconditional love for their children

Or so they profess to every friend

But they have a mountain of expectations hidden

Which burdens the kids till their very end

They seem so caring and selfless

If social media is to be believed

But it has made them so helpless

That they brag of the inner peace they have not achieved

They live together in a society

Where they socialize willingly or unwillingly

They share feelings of every variety

But hypocrisy helps them to live like a family

Had they been straighter in their ideology

Life would have been sweeter

Though sometimes, the spice of hypocrisy

Adds colorful flavors to make it tastier
