The Streamlet and the Ocean
The Streamlet and the Ocean
Emerged from the mountain high
The little streamlet sprang with joy
To take the path not taken by all
Decided the rivulet young and small.
The rock but stood so firm and rough
To obstruct the way with intruding stuff
The streamlet was truely consistent though
Somewhere wide and somewhere narrow
Sometimes found dry and dead
And sometimes with a rising bed
Slow but steady was the sway
Sparkling bright all the way
Met some more to be big and bigger
Dancing and singing loud and louder.
The streamlet took the forbidden path
To grow and flow with all that it hath
And months and years passed
The spirit could never be crashed
The streamlet that became a river later
Presented the ocean with all its water
The ocean that was larger and deeper
Embraced and confined the darling forever
