The Scream
The Scream
And then she shrieked out
Of agony untold
Of the intensity of Dido
Crying out for the praised.
Gone are the acts
Of laughs legion
Gone is the lass
Who made everyone jaunty.
But that is not the eerie detail
Not her blood curdling screech
Twas the naivete of all
Who thought her scream was curbed.
No one believed
For how can a being change so radically?
It's a phase,they said
It's the verity, I say.
For only countenances matter, don't they?
Being unmasked is fiction
Perhaps, this is why
Raw faces are quite unseen.
The scream of help
Heard yet unheard
Silent yet deafening
And it never came out.
She screamed with her smiles
She screamed with her words
She screamed with her eyes
But no one ventured under the surface
That's why ,dear folks
Do perceive further
For the person you may know
May not be the person you know at all.
