The Quest to find Thee
The Quest to find Thee
Omnipresent is thee,
Goodness is he.
But where can he be,
So I quested to find thee.
He wasn’t in the Acropolis,
Where the Greek gods thrived.
Neither was he in the flowers’
From which sweet nectar is derived.
He wasn’t in the rivers
Nor on the seas.
He wasn’t in the deserts beyond,
Nor in the Banyan trees.
So I sought the priests’ quarters
Who had futile befuddling answers?
Neither was he with the birds,
Nor in the city’s suburbs.
Finally, denied all hope,
In a silence profound.
When I looked in my heart,
It was there, where thee was found.
So, if you quested to find the lord,
Don’t strum your soul’s cord.
Remember in this world round,
Only to you is he bound.
