The Painful First Mistake
The Painful First Mistake
She was a teenage girl,
Her eyes used to gleam,
Heart filled with hopes,
Of reaching the supreme.
Suddenly she met a guy,
Very handsome with a charming smile.
To her he seemed like 'the one',
The 'Prince Charming' of her life.
Head over heels in love
She forgot everything.
Her studies and even herself
And it was the scariest thing.
She felt hypnotised by his charm,
Everything around her looked beautiful.
The immature adolescent years of her life
Started seeming more vibrant and colorful.
She had lot of dreams
About 'their future' and 'them',
Only to realize one day
It was all a part of a 'mind-game'.
Every dream of her about 'them'
Seemed now like a delusion.
Shocked and upset,
Her mind was in a great confusion.
She locked herself in her room
Surrounding herself by dark walls.
Her life seemed like a puppet show
She being one of the puppet dolls.
She cried for days
Holding her pillow tight,
She tried her best to sleep
But couldn't sleep at night.
She missed classes and couldn't eat,
Stayed in her room the whole day.
For days she was depressed,
Lying in her bed with old thoughts in replay.
Days passed by thinking and thinking,
Couldn't understand where was she wrong.
She asked to God is it a fault,
Having the idea of loving someone 'lifelong'?
It was the painful first mistake she made
Having the idea of loving someone 'forever',
The mistake that she vowed to herself
She wouldn't repeat ever!
