The Magic of a Name
The Magic of a Name
What is there in a name?
That overnight, it changed my game.
Why can't I see anything else?
Without it, everything feels like a mess.
I tried to run, to drift away,
But it pulls me back, every day.
Among the names I have come to know,
This one stands out, in every glow.
I remember names of many faces,
But this one holds the warmest places.
It shines above, like a steeple tall,
No other name compares at all.
How can a name feel so true,
That I would paste it on my heart with glue?
Now I hold a soft confession —
This name has turned into obsession.
It makes me smile, it stirs my soul,
It makes my half feel truly whole.
It makes my heart beat loud and clear,
It brings me warmth, even when none is near.
Each day I wait for just one glance,
To hold that name — if I get the chance.
Even from far, in silence or haze,
That name lights up all of my days.
