The Form It Takes

It comes to me

In the form of a picture,

My friends share through WhatsApp,

Of nature, the clouds and pets;

That makes me go "Aww!"

To make me adore and appreciate,

Every single little detail.

It comes to me

In the form of a delicious food,

That makes me wait for long long hours,

Once arrived, makes me desperate;

To grab a spoon,

And the food, finger licking good;

I close my eyes to feel the taste,

Leaves a smile on my face.

It comes to me

In the form of a joke,

That I laugh hard on,

Till my stomach hurts,

And my cheeks ache;

Enlightening my mood,

That makes my day.

It comes to me

In the form of a person,

Who holds my hand,

To let me know they care,

And to fight my nightmare;

Utters the words,

That my heart wants to listen to,

Again and again.

It comes to me

In the form of a music,

That Soothes my mind,

Leaving peace and smile,

That makes me forget;

The world and its problems.

It comes to you and me;

But we fail to identify.

Many forms it takes-

Like a butterfly

In the form of a question,

That keeps you guessing;

What it is?

Listen, not to me;

But to the feeling.

It will tell you,

It's called love.
