Gender Equality- When men and women are given equal rights and opportunities.

You call yourself a feminist

Which means, you raise your voice

For the rights of people,

Irrespective of their gender.

You fight for the rights of women,

You fight for the rights of men,

But don't you think

You have forgotten something?

When you hear "Gender Equality"

What comes to your mind?

"MEN" and "WOMEN" having equal rights

This is what most of us think.

Long ago-

Boys and girls weren't considered similar

Girls were devoid 

Of many privileges.

Now, the time has changed

Most women have access

To those opportunities

That our female ancestors lacked!

Now, we see-

Both boys and girls being 

Educated as well as Educating.

We see both the genders achieving success

However, the gender

That still lacks

Many rights and opportunities

Are totally FORGOTTEN!

They are trapped in that corner of your

Mind, where unpleasant things persist

They had always knocked at your hearts

For entrance, but sadly, never got a response.

I've seen people fight

Day and night

For the rights and welfare

Of both women and men.

BUT I have never seen 

The same number of people

Fight for the right

Of the transgenders!!!

Gender Equality-When people with all the three genders are given EQUAL rights and opportunities.
