Swept away all the laughter

Nature yet again proves to be man's master

Snatches away the entire beauty

When mankind fails in his duty

Gifted with beauty and assets

Left the minds in grief and distress

Where mind dealt with patient and rest

Mankind there has been assigned a great test

Homes and shelter are felling apart

The only feeling is pain in the heart

Water is engulfing everything

Left the people to cherish for nothing

May God save who are dying

And comfort who are crying

Homeless and hungry there hearts silently scream

Praying for life to almighty and supreme

The wind smashed down the trees

Heavy rains made the human life freeze

The river is weeping causing destruction

The flood in Kerala will always be remembered as an exception

Swallowing everything in a tremendous rage

Discussed daily on every newspaper's page

Sad faces with agony and pain

Left the entire human civilization with a stain

Lets all save and defend one of our kind

With all our heart's and hands united and combined

The days may be full of grief and darkness

But one star is enough to fill it again with brightness...
