The Courageous Colour, Saffron

I have come across many colours,

But saffron is the best than others. 

It is a colour of the country lover,

A country where everyone is brothers and sisters.

The first colour of our national flag,

So bright, makes my heartthrob.

A colour of strength and courage,

Not for those who show discourage. 

Saffron was the colour of the past,

It is as bright today as it was.

With a saffron turban with a cause,

Giving every citizen a future at last.

'Kesari' as it is also called,

From Punjab warriors to Maratha heroes.

From swords to piercing arrows,

Saffron was the strength of our country overall.

Many a warrior showed the courage,

Be it men or women of all age.

Fought for their country and safety,

Will be there to save the country from any calamity.

May the colour be there in every stage,

Yesterday, today and tomorrow in any phase.

Showing courage and strength to all humanity,

Praying always for this country's unity.
