The Child Within.
The Child Within.
We were all children, small and new,
In God's sight, we always stay true.
Today we pray, with open heart,
That simple grace will never depart.
The child's innocence, a gentle light,
Let it guide us, day and night.
Oh, how we love to look back then,
To the joyful days of childhood again.
Remember this truth, pure and clear:
Each child is special, held so dear.
No caste, no creed, no wealth they claim,
Almighty loves them all the same.
Love, respect, a chance to grow,
Is what every child must know.
But sadly, here, we still must face,
Child labor steals their time and place.
This darkness must not be, we feel,
Our duty now: we rise to heal.
To stop this wrong, we must not wait,
For every child, before it's too late.
With all our hearts, our wishes fly,
Loads and loads of love beneath the sky.
