The Ode of Infinite Devotion.
The Ode of Infinite Devotion.
I love you more than the salt that sustains the earth,
As the dazzling Pole Star loves the celestial Ursa Major,
As the birds love the sky to unfurl their wings and soar.
As the peacock loves the rain to dance its vibrant Mayurpankhi art,
As all beings yearn for the breath of life to live from the heart.
If you become the cloud, I shall be the cloud-maiden, raining color bright,
If you become the necklace, I shall adorn your neck, held close and tight.
If you were Sekhar, I would be your devoted Parinita bride,
Embracing you in the woven magic of a love that touches the sky.
With the youth of sweetness, I shall paint your salty life anew,
I shall brush the spring's first crimson upon your parched cheek, so true.
And one thing only will I speak, with an open, loving call—
'I love you, my life, my eternal all.'
May our love be everlasting, like Radha and Madhava's, in every direction we stride.
