The Beauty Of Festival

My country has a festival; so beautiful,

Dressed in vibrant shades, it's plentiful.

It's called 'Tshechu', in language of ours,

It got the biggest social gathering powers.

Early morning, earlier than the rural cock,

People get up, towards temple, they flock.

With packaged lunches, smiles on faces,

Families together, sit around in all places.

Smiles decorate the faces of young and old,

The awesome scenes, one can surely behold.

Mask dances and folk dances are performed,

The rich culture and traditions, all informed.

Clowns in red dresses entertains us all,

Lively enactments with morals, they'd call 

Monks perform religious hymns and songs,

Touching people's minds, rights and wrongs.

So, visit my country without doubts and fear,

You shall find happiness and joys here.
