The Beast
The Beast

The air is still and silent
As the owl soars by.
His figure is a silhouette
Against the moonlit sky.
I put my hand in your hand
And lead you down the path.
Unaware of what was creeping in the moon shadows that we cast.
We stop to rest our tired feet by a secluded waterfall.
I put my arm around you
We both hear it's call.
We look into each other's eyes and start to walk downstream.
The beast that sounded far away was closer then it seemed.
It waits just ahead hidden in the mist.
You stumble into my arms, I give you a kiss.
And as we stand there under the stars above,
We're devoured by the beast.
The beast's name is Love
