Station Encounters
Station Encounters
One late night I was waiting for a bus by the station
I was hungry so I bought myself some bread and bottled water
Had a long sigh thinking of the unfinished projects and reports
I was all sleepy so I laid my head against the wall
On the other side of the road saw a man standing covered in blood
And the gust of wind changed my mood which added to my chills
As a truck pass by so did the man strangely disappeared
I was tired but that moment made me feel alive
I keep looking on the sides from where the man was standing
My mind was full of questions of what might have happened
There could be a crime somewhere or even worse
I kept wiping my face full of sweat because of fear
A friend of mine saw my worried face and approached me
I told him what I saw and yet he just laughed so hard to me
He said that I was being delusional because of school stuff
I still had a blank expression and nodded silently
The bus finally arrived so my friend went home too
I ate the rest of the bread I bought earlier
As usual, I went on reading my pop sheets for the quiz
Strangely one of the paper slipped through my fingers and flew outside
I checked my phone and got 22 missed calls and 39 text messages
It was my friend saying he saw that man too at the back seat of the bus
What's interesting is that I am the only person at the back seat
And moments later, we unexpectedly got in an accident
