The Artist Who Loved A Girl
The Artist Who Loved A Girl
Shall I paint your portrait
on the canvas of sky?
Moon be my palette,
Poplar trees, my paint brushes.
I'll drench the rainbows in blue oceans
And make them my acrylic colours.
My love, what colour do I paint you with?
For you are God's favourite colour.
I'll pluck those bright stars,
Mix them in my colours,
And paint your face.
Let all the blackness in skies,
Be your hair & eyes.
Let roses & tulips sacrifice themselves
To be the pink on your lips.
Let Mother Earth give all her
Blues & greens to paint you ornaments & attires.
My love! Once I'm done painting you,
Please dissolve me into you,
Make me the nail at your fingertips,
Make me the smile on your sweet lips,
Make me the echo of your voice,
Make me the spark of your eyes,
Guide me in the brightness of your stare,
Hide me in the darkness of your hair.
