Waves which crash against rocks

And break

And are lost forever

Words under your command

Now fail you

The storm raging inside your head

Begs to be released

Love, betrayal, guilt, longing, fear, forgiveness, shame, anticipation, truth, delay

All the words you could ever need

Each feeling and emotion

Each thought

Press against your skull

Wanting an out

You transform into a storehouse of alphabets which no longer make sense

Incomplete sentences and

Unfinished poems

Become your song

There is a desperation in you unlike other

Explain

Express

The pressure builds

Unyielding

Increasing in intensity

You will explode

You want to

To ease the pain

To relieve the pressure

Lightning strikes

It's time for the tide

Waves of words build, rise inside you

Cresting

And crash against the shore

Consuming everything in their way

Over and over again

The storm roars

Winds howl and hiss

Thunder growls and echoes

Like unforgiving rain on parched earth
