You do not get to define me

The lengths of fabric covering my skin do not get to define

The loudness of my voice, the colour of my skin, the strength of my opinions, the texture of my hair or the number of boys I kiss

Are not parameters 

With which you measure my character

And find me wanting

I cannot be contained 

I cannot be caged

I cannot be defined

I am in the vastness of the skies and the depth of the oceans

I soar and flow

Beyond you

It is not in you to define me

I am not the sum of your opinions
