Sinking Ships...
Sinking Ships...
In a wink ships can sink,
Large vessels braving the
High seas.
In fair weather, it sails proud,
Sways and trembles under
Tenebrous clouds.
So is Man with accomplished
Glory,
God's March on earth is an interesting story.
They sail, fly, roll, and scale heights.
Then what happens if he gives up the fight?
Once a king, a baron, a Lord a connoisseur,
What insecurity triggers the fear?
Is Emotional poverty a corrosive agent,
Wealth, Power, Arrogance, Position,
Bites the dust when howling winds blow on the horizon.
The indignation within, the lonely child not healed,
Throws up tantrums to navigate its wheel.
But now the world will not believe the beleaguered,
A repressed child in a broken adult.
The big boss sinks to the brink,
His ego breaks to pieces,
The mighty ship sinks,
Pulls the trigger or has an overdose of pills.
His so-called friends sing to free guilt...
'Boat on the river, it's sailing away,
Down to the ocean to where I can't say! '
