ECSTASY
ECSTASY
When she was left alone,
In the room she made
for him,
she touched the soft feather pillow,
she stopped the tear,
she walked up to the fresh
orchids in the Grecian vase,
She strolled across the room.
rolled herself in the fresh window drapes,
She imagined the ecstasy.
The room freshener was inviting,
The A/c the right temperature,
unlike the confusion in her mind.
Her feelings were battling against her,
her wait, her desires, her urges,
revolted against her denial.
She looked at herself in the mirror,
Her lingerie peeping through,
What did I ever do to be denied?
Why did it all have to happen now?
His absence set her ecstasy to fire..
He had sent her the WhatsApp message,
Ending it with - Kisses to you my Valentine!
His flight was on time but then she received the message -
He was taken away for quarantine!
