She Learnt To Be In The Cage
She Learnt To Be In The Cage
She opened her little eyes
And saw the splendid light
Her protector, now was the world for her
Whose touch brought all comfort for her.
The purest form of love
Was all she could explore
She was assured and felt secured
In the arms of the mother.
She smiled at all
And got some smiles in return
As the days passed on
She explored new relations.
She was young for the old,
For the elders she was small,
She was different from the boys
As she was born as a girl.
Slowly did she learn
The rules of her age
And soon she was found
In a strongly built cage.
Invisible was the cage
But strong were the bars
She felt restless as she grew
And her heart was full of scars.
She could sense impotence everywhere
To her utter dismay
She learnt to be in the cage
And wait for her day...
