Selfish

Selfish

They stared:

She called me selfish

as I couldn't give her a hand

Her ears were locked away not ready for my reason

yet if the key are missing the answer is hard to stand.

He called me selfish

as he was lost

because reality now is hard to handle.

He was just like a candle,

melting slow,

I could put them off with a blow.

Yet we are not meant to be,

as our intentions were poles apart.

Then I told them together :

" The world doesn't run on our say.

You just show me the world in your way, did you ever consider my say.

Going back to where we were , do you think the sight is fair?"

"You call me selfish as it wasn't your say.

Tomorrow you'd call someone else selfish."

I stopped.
