I travelled in space,
Through a time zone.
Crossing all barriers,
To the other universe, all alone.
There I met a person
, my mirror image
But it was her present, and
My future.
In name and looks, we were the same,
But both, our, ways were different.
Her food was capsules of sorts,
Her home, a laboratory, and
Mine was 'home, sweet home.
Her body was covered with devices,
And I wore clothes, of my choice.
She communicated with mental waves,
Her deep blue eyes sent messages.
I spoke with my tongue,
Which often did they none?
She could read my mind,
And what answers did she find?
To me, all was blank,
As I could not understand.
Her body was not flesh and blood,
Her appearance is glassy and glossy,
But not like mine, classy.
Everybody around her,
Moved like waves,
And I was fully dazed.
Singing, dancing, playing, I was missing,
For, they all were Machines.
I asked her what are you working on.
Without uttering a word,
She conveyed with her eyes.
There is the birth of a new universe and new planets
But life has not evolved yet.
They are working on implanting new life on a planet similar to Earth.
Another evolution on another planet, in another universe.
I wondered what life would be like in the extraterrestrial world.
I missed my home,
Saying Adieu,
I descended home sweet home.
But she too conveyed her love and concern.
And bade Adieu to me,
That was all.
Soon, I transcended and woke up with a jerk,
I too was in my lab,
Researching DNA replication,
And tied to a machine.
Although thousands of years, behind one universe. Yet I was billions of years ahead of a new universe.
