Scary Night

I heard noises,

Around me and it was a total dark.

Never had I been alone,

To be so scared.

Nights scared me too,

I had learned it then. 

As though some spirits moving past me,

I could sense the little motions,

Encompassing me with fear all along. 

I struggled my way through the kitchen;

From the windows, 

With the shadows of the long trees, 

As if they were to strangle me. 

It was a scary night,

Indeed, for a girl who slept it out,

And yet couldn't say it apart from what's real!
