Hallucination
Hallucination
The voice that cries those godless lies,
The face with a smile of sinister ties.
I see them in the wake of sleepless nights,
Of wanton whispers and harrowing frights.
These tales that I witness are true I fear;
The night feels darker as the shadow draws near.
I feel the banging, the scratches, the screams,
A malcontent mind being torn at seams.
Unravelled is my being as I see this mirage,
This desolate vision of an ill-formed visage.
I cry mercy, reprieve from this cruelty.
Will you grant me this death, if I vow you my fealty?
