Savage Harvest
Savage Harvest
We reap what we sow, or that's how things go,
A silent world, conspicuous by lack of gibberish gab,
Except for the pounding,
On the door of the Almighty.
"God, we cannot bleed no more, scarce are my friends,
Whose limbs are not severed" said the mighty Oak,
A line of flora and fauna, lined up to the Almighty,
Their bodies raped by the interests of an animal called humans.
A wise turtle whispered, " we are tired Oh Lord,
How long can we be deprived of our space,
The winds, the waves pounding, the air, the smallest of beings,
Are saying we cannot bear no more,
So, do justice God, for the bane of the times,
Is ominous, the young are being sacrificed,
Brothers being killed, the humans judging each other by
Colors that You gave, none are spared, the world is wounded, scarred beyond repair, so do something, my Lord".
God shook his head in sorrow, said" I made them in my likeness,
From the clay of love kneaded them,
Angels carried the little lives,
Now look what they are doing, such travesty unheard,
Empowered them with divinity of love yet they have eyes, which see's not, ears which hears not,
Every moment I send magical blessings which they fain see,
Look what they have made of my dreams, their souls forever begging for things, but immune to the people who do not have even hands to beg, yet it lifts to Me for alms.
So be it, with a heavy heart I proclaim...the edge of life organism, which in fain is not
Seen by the eye, shall bring them to the knees,
But shall not harm the children and any animals,
I cannot let my paradise made for all,
Be in the hands of few foolish and selfish humans,
Let it start anew, when all was water,
And realisation shall come, penance they shall beg,
Let the purging begin ".
And so a small virus, started its insidious journey,
Humans fell like nine pins, panic stricken were the world,
In houses caged, while animals, unaffected,
Unfettered, roamed the empty streets.
Within days, all grew silent,
The greedy mouths, frothed and died,
The lost era, of human touch and humanity,
Dawned gradually, in homes when parents started understanding their children,
And the children learnt the virtue of respect for the old,
They sat together again, a redemption of horrendous
Doing, silent confessions flew to God each moment.
But lot of work was not yet over,
The beckoning of God, till all huddled together,
Sans anything, effect over cause,
Happiness and gratitude, of the smallest gifts,
Became the cause, no castles nor love of throne,
Just a hope to see the dawn.
Such goes the tale, a savage harvest,
Of what we were sowing all along,
Rise of fresh wind, ecstasy of bubbling springs,
Crashing of the waves, hallelujah, rejoice,
Chains on the most vile animal, humans,
Liberated the world,
The work shall go on,
Till the last surviving species,
Goes down on knees and begs for mercy,
The virus , a sign of the Wrath of God,
Continued its journey,
Till east meets west, horizon kisses the ocean,
The shifting sands, the swampy lands,
The weeds, the buds, smallest beings,
Finds its place and bliss,
Thus shall the dew last,
An act of God, for our sins we heeded not.
A lesson much needed, an awe and realisation,
A blip we are ,in Lords plan,
A sneeze of Nature can blow us away,
The enemy, paradoxically, will keep purging,
Till we all accumulate love and empathy,
The only anti dote to the virus,
And reboot, that we are mere humans,
Not Gods self proclaimed,
Or the floods shall wipe us out,
For the Lord is angry,
Yet mercy dwells in His Heart,
For an equal world, a place where love dwells,
In hearts and souls,
Praise be the enemy, for the divine message given,
Wake up call, an hour glass tilted,
Or the bells shall keep tolling.
