"Rome wasn't built in a day"
"Rome wasn't built in a day"

When one wishes to reach an end,
Certain lengths he'll need to go,
This way of thinking you may bend,
But realize setbacks will grow.
If you tend to play down a fault,
No matter how small it may be,
In a way, to that cut, you only add salt,
All because you blurred the reality
Now there are those times,
When you're caught off guard,
Taking what's not yours is a crime,
But ignorance of this fact won't bar.
For it's when you are well aware,
Of that which you don't own,
That's when an alarm should blare,
As to that habit, you shouldn't be prone.
Should you find that habit doesn't die,
With each ill deed, you produce,
With time your sense of morals will dry,
And in the end, you'll have made a noose.
For at the end of the day the fervor you had,
Will likely become diluted,
And that is what is so sad,
As that which is tarnished can't be refuted.
If this route you still chose
Even when the damage was all too clear,
Then in the end you'll be disposed,
To every danger that will appear
But there're aids that are close at hand,
That'll help you to get on track,
There are those whose help they'll lend
For what they have they see the other may lack.
If there is one who wishes to be strong,
A period of conditioning he must pursue,
For if he strings himself lazily along,
He shouldn't be confused when rewards are few
