The Lesson Of The Tortoise And The Hare

Have you ever been told to look at the whole,

Because of your narrow perspective?

Or do you find that in doing so it takes a toll?

Resulting in you having no direction.

Many discuss those who fail to see the big picture,

And the consequences that will be felt,

But trying to see the whole (and this is just my conjecture)

May be far more than what should be dealt.

Some have the tendency to overthink,

When they try to take all in their view,

It's not surprising when you find them on the brink,

As they no longer know what to do.

Instead of support- correction is all they receive,

You must see the big picture too,"

While there's something to be said on that which we believe,

Just because that is in fact true

For those who view more than they can take,

you must embrace the opposite of said famous advice,

Go one small thing at a time not just for your sake,

Think of this instead as a simple roll of the dice

I know how it feels to burn yourself down,

Trying so hard to find answers to each question placed,

But taking a breath & going step by step is the best aid I've found,

Such a simple action will make that pill easier to take.
