Rain Drain
Rain Drain
The parade of dark cloud makes a new outfit in the sky,
Creates rhythmic dance with continual shower.
Birds have given up flying so high,
Takes rest on tree branches and on apex of tower.
Suddenly the curtain of clouds ripped with lightning,
And after a glitter, the darkness appears so dense.
Frightened people look for shielding,
Blow of conch changes ambience hoping evil’s silence.
As I am deeply saddened by the whims of nature,
Sitting hapless all through the day by the window,
Looking at the water-filled potholes and gutter
Alleging God for His relentless show.
Looking at the dense cloud moving in a trot,
Eyes getting covered with moist film,
Spheres of sorrow start bubbling at the throat.
Being imprisoned waiting for the gleam.
