Rain Check From Love

As I walk tonight

On a lonesome street

With a heavy heart

And speeding feet

Wind hungering hard

Ruffling with my hair

I struggle to untangle them

Layer by layer...

I stop to think,

Isn't that what

You should have done?

Skies growl in agreement

Though, I asked noone...

Messy are my hair 

And sassy was my tongue today

But not more than my head

And all you could do

Was walk away...

Like you didn't even care

I was about to tell you

The red in my eyes

Is not from the dust

But jabs of your deciet.

A tear jerks out in a jiffy

Cause overbearing clouds

Too needed a relief.

My words lumped up

From constant defeats

Have grown with time

It's only now,

After the storm

That you saw the sign...

I howl and cry 

And drench the whole city down!

Remember, It'll rain all night

Wherever you go,

Just to remind-

Though YOU walked off my life tonight
