Portals of Mirth

Where the morn is bright and the nature is replete with resplendence,

And men have done away with their unrepentance;

When the cool gust of wind soothes our deranged mind,

And we practice the basic virtue of being kind;

Whence the songbirds chirp gaily,

In that reality, we can hope to cultivate jocosity in our lives daily.

 

A venomous heart and a diabolical mind just as incorrigible,

Renders the condition of a person as horrible.

Complex is the labyrinth of emotions,

Just like the dynamics of our motions.

Belittling the mental turmoil of anyone is an unpardonable sin,

Our endeavors should be to make everyone’s face glow with a grin.

 

When we tend to exist and live in the present moment,

And be wise enough not to foment

The flames of furiousness and scorn,

Which can needlessly make someone forlorn;

When we develop a greater sense of mutual compliance,

We won’t feel the need for any belligerent defiance.

 

If we infuse even exiguous optimism in the task at hand,

Our enthusiasm won’t crumble like a tower made of sand.

‘All that glitters is not gold’,

And not everything is repugnant within our own threshold.

There may be a thousand reasons to be sad,

But there’re also countless causes to be glad.

Whole-hearted efforts never go in vain,

Neither does failure bring to our reputation an ineffaceable stain;

It is just a reminder to ameliorate our mistakes,

And never underestimate the gargantuan stakes.

Don’t ponder on why you got rejected,

Let your success make your oppressors dejected.

 

Egotistical people will always give glib advice,

But will never aid you at any price.

True companions never desert you at the time of need;

Few Samaritans never discriminate on the basis of caste or creed.

We owe to magnanimous individuals an unpayable debt,

Epitomizing that the pillars of happiness aren’t fading away yet.
