Cacophony of Dreams
Cacophony of Dreams
Yes, this night might be weary,
Vexatiously unsettling and dreary -
The cauldron of desperation’s brewing,
Manifestations of fears’ renewing -
No, it ain’t gonna be an incessant plight,
Darkness will be vanquished by iridescent light.
Is it the clamor from the recesses of our soul,
That elicits and ruminates our role,
In this cosmos of fazed possibilities?
I believe so, how else do we overcome disabilities,
Our insecurities setting the tone for trepidation -
Multi-faceted conscience embroiled in an altercation?
The horizon of opportunities are ever-expanding,
As is the strenuousness often demanding -
We’re bounded by hopes and expectations
Of acing academic and life’s examinations.
Would I blindly abide by society’s norms,
And indisputably follow the platitudinous forms
Of desirable attributes with subservience?
That’s the dilemma at odds with convenience.
Maybe I’d vehemently defy this oppression,
Carve out my own avenue and occupation -
My free will has non-negotiable worth
I have a special destiny to fulfil, here on earth.
