Open A Book
Open A Book
I opened a book and I strode,
Nobody could find me
I’ve left my house and the world behind me
I opened a book, I wore a magic robe, slipped the ring
Fought a dragon then dine with the queen and king
I swallowed a potion
Seeing black aura is a caution
I was armored, I was a knight
In every battlefield, I felt fright
I opened a book, dived in a bottomless sea
Heed the mermaids sung as they call me
Swam with fishes and dolphins, deceived a shark
And I built an ark!
And stowed in a submarine
Left naked in a coast to where I’ve been
I opened a book, sailed across the sea with the pirates, we yelled “Argh!”
In every stormy night, we shiver
Stole a map and mapped the stars
Dig up treasures we’ve come so far
I opened a book, I took a trip to outer space
What a place of ease
I opened magic doors
Slide down with the unicorns in the rainbow
I shrank, fell on a river and go with the flow
I opened a book, I became a robot
Laughed at villains that I fought
I’ve been to a town
Had a parade while on my head a crown
I opened a book, flew with the birds with the fairies we drink tea
Opened a huge closet that led in a ball gown party
ASk a dazzling lady,” Shall we dance?”
Without a doubt, she took the chance
Marry a princess,
I found love by a true love’s kiss
I opened a book, fall from the sky, landed on a jungle
Runaway from wild animals, but in the end we mingle
I traveled in a time machine
Forsee the end, I sense grim
Ran away from a killer wearing a hood
Hold me breath, exhaled,” Am I out of the woods?”
I finished my books and face reality
My world looks the same
For a while, I left the world behind me
But I have stories of books inside of me
