Of Separation, Of December
Of Separation, Of December
When December crumbles into the Quilt of our love,
We dare not get out of it.
We simply fall prey into this,
And
Let it consume us.
Like you lick melted cheese off of your palm,
Like I inhale the air when you breathe,
Like we fall into each other's arms after days of separation.
These all,
Remind me of what December means to us -
The sweater that holds your smell,
The cake that tastes like Your cheek,
The holidays that are empty without you,
The cup that knows your touch
And
Words that love you more than me.
I love to see this December,
Kissing you soft
And
Melting in between us.
