The Fall

The Fall

And yes, November

It's been 12 months

Since I let you come close to me,

Let you touch me with the flings of Autumn,.

And sweep away into the quilt of subtle comfort.

What more could I ever want!

To heal myself

To love myself again.

Your drops of Winter shiver down to my heart,

And make me look for a temperature,

Found under the skin.

Softness that is softer than the clouds floating in your sky,

Warmth that is warmer than the Sahara in the falling of the Sun

Depth that is deeper than the thoughts of a lonely poet,

She is.

Like you whisper,

She speaks.

Like you peck,

Does she kiss.

Like you are maddening

She is intoxicating.

Like you are a habit,

She is my need.

If you are November,

She is the whole year.
