Of Moms
When God made moms he made them pure
Yet strong and solid , built to endure
Hissy fits and melt downs , tantrums galore .
Take it all in her stride , and then some more ..
Torn apart by conflicting demands ,
She could make do with 4 extra hands .
Muti tasking was surely invented by a mom
Juggling 12 tasks with careless aplomb .
The morning whizzes by in a crazy spin
She bobs afloat , above the din .
There are kids to dress and people to feed
None of them , of course , pay her heed .
Sometimes the peacemaker , sometimes dragon mom ,
Soothing temperaments akin to a neutron bomb.
Unfraying nerves that would escalate a fight ,
Dish out meals that are greeted with delight .
Pack school bags and get homework done
Ensure her kids are second to none .
Threatening cajoling ,till the battle is won
There’s far more to motherhood that laughter and fun .
And after the storm of childhood blows away
And young adults have left for the day ,
In a fast paced words with no time to spare
Moms are an untapped reservoir of love and care
For those of you luck enough to have one there
Reach out to your mom and tell her you care .
