Nothing Here To See

I seem to be walking on this road forever,

In the arms of loneliness, 

Soothing it seems at times, 

The cradling of darkness.

Is there someone coming for me, I wonder

But no one seems to care,

I keep walking ahead each day and night

I have to do this alone, I will myself to dare

Then a flicker somewhere I hear

Light of the lamp I see,

There is a concern in your voice

You have finally come to me.

 

But oh I have crossed the bridge to the other side,

It’s too late to talk to me, 

I have hidden my monsters in my heart,

Nothing here to see!
